The Kautz collection was one of the largest privately owned collections of its time, containing artifacts representing most areas of North America, and was studied and catalogued by many Colleges and Universities, including the University of Washington. This collection was broken up and sold in the late 1950’s. The items for sale here where obtained from the collection at that time. In the last few months we have sold many fine specimens from this collection and have saved some of the very best pieces that we are now currently offering.
